Mauritius, Telugu Speaking Union in collaboration with the Mauritius Andhra Maha Sabha, The Mauritius Telugu Cultural Centre Trust and other organizations is celebrating this Day by organizing many activities throughout the island. The main function will take place at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute, Moka, with a lecture on the Telugu language and homage to Gidugu Pantulu. Poems and stories will be read by students. People will also have the opportunities to visit an exhibition on the language on Sunday 29 August, 2010 at 9.30 a.m.
