Telugu speaking Union Mauritius

The Telugu Speaking Union continues its reading activities on a regional basis. The response has been amazing.

Sunday 21 November TSU was in Goodlands, a village in the north of Mauritius. The Telugu association in that village participated fully in the reading activities  and the film show for children. The best readers were awarded souvenirs from the Telugu Speaking Union. Sweets and refreshments were also served. Parents in Goodlands are good. They are curious to see how their children read a language which their ancestors spoke when they came to settle here 220 years ago. Today Telugu is taught in Mauritius in all state schools where education is free. A few snaps for your appreciation.
